The geometry of the Northern Renaissance. Rhythmic octagons and diamonds. Woven today for your floor.
The Story
The Holbein Legacy is a curated revival of the structured, multi-axial geometric patterns that captured the imagination of Northern Renaissance artists. Defined by a continuous layout of nested octagons and alternating diamond motifs, this design gained global renown through the brushstrokes of German master Hans Holbein the Younger, who featured these carpets to anchor his portraits of European nobility.
Representing the precise transitional era of the 15th and 16th centuries, these carpets showcase a perfect dialogue between sharp Anatolian geometric discipline and early stylized botanical details. Displayed historically as symbols of absolute power on the tables, walls, and floors of the Western elite, we bring this scholarly heritage back. Not as a museum piece. As functional art for your floor.
