The Curation Narrative
At Artisenza, a wood relief is not an ornament. It is a conversation between architectural space and timber — one that takes weeks to complete and does not repeat itself.
Each piece in this collection is cut from single-source solid Anatolian walnut and hand-carved by our craftsmen. The grain of the wood is not a background; it is part of the composition. We work with it, not against it, which is why no two pieces come out of this process the same way.
The subjects we choose carry weight — centuries of cultural, philosophical, and theological depth that three traditions have circled without exhausting. That weight belongs in wood, not on a screen.
These works are made for rooms that take art seriously: private residences, architectural commissions, and institutional spaces where a wall is expected to hold more than decoration.
Collection Standards
Material — Seasoned solid Anatolian walnut and select rare timbers, finished with natural oils. Nothing is applied to the surface that would interrupt the wood's own texture.
Scale — Museum dimensions. A 5 cm depth profile that reads differently at every hour of the day as light moves across the carving.
Bespoke Commissions — Custom dimensions and narrative commissions are available for architectural projects, private galleries, and significant residential spaces. Accepted upon direct studio consultation.
Delivery — All works ship Delivered Duty Paid to the United States, Europe, and the Gulf Countries. Insurance, customs clearance, and white-glove handling are managed entirely by Artisenza.
