A 15th-century motif. The geometry of continuity. Woven today for your floor.
The Cloud Series (Bulutlu Uşak) draws its identity from the fluid, stylized cloud motifs that drift symmetrically across the carpet’s field. In the traditional symbolism of Anatolian weaving, the rhythmic repetition of these organic forms represents the continuity of life and the unhurried cycles of the natural world.
Perfected during the Ottoman Golden Age, these ethereal compositions quickly moved beyond regional boundaries. By the 15th and 16th centuries, Renaissance masters featured Cloud Oushak rugs in their portraits of European nobility, transforming them into global markers of prestige on walls, tables, and floors. Today, we bring this calm authority back. Not as a museum piece. As functional art for your floor.
This rug carries the Geographical Indication (GI) certificate – a state-protected guarantee that it was woven in Uşak using traditional methods passed down through generations.
