A structured grid. The geometry of the eight-pointed corner star. Woven today for your floor.
The Corner Oushak is defined by its architectural layout, balancing an open, unhurried central field with bold, eight-pointed stars anchored strictly at the corners. In the traditional design language of Anatolia, this specific composition represents cosmic order and balance, utilizing negative space to let the geometry breathe.
Perfected during the Ottoman Golden Age, these structured corner compositions quickly moved beyond regional boundaries. By the 15th and 16th centuries, Renaissance masters featured them in portraits of European royalty, transforming the Oushak rug into a global marker of prestige on walls, tables, and floors alike. Today, we bring this calm authority back. Not as a museum piece. As functional art for your floor.
This rug carries the Geographical Indication (GI) certificate – a state-protected guarantee that it was woven in Uşak using traditional methods passed down through generations.
