A 15th-century legacy. Once a coveted dowry. Woven today for your floor.
The Floral Oushak (Çiçekli Uşak) is a living geometry of blooming petals, winding vines, and rhythmic leaves. This design is not a passing decorative pattern; it is a traditional Anatolian language representing abundance and the seasonal prosperity of nature.
Historically, these specific floral compositions were the most coveted dowry pieces among regional nobility before becoming global symbols of prestige in the 15th century. European aristocrats displayed them on walls, tables, and floors to signal status inside grand halls and chateaus. Today, we bring this heritage back. Not as a museum piece. As functional art for your floor.
This rug carries the Geographical Indication (GI) certificate – a state-protected guarantee that it was woven in Uşak using traditional methods passed down through generations.
Artisenza is an official purveyor of these registered pieces. When you buy one, you receive a legally verified work of art with global recognition.
