A 17th-century layout. The geometry of the eight-pointed star. Woven today for your floor.
The Starry Oushak (Yıldızlı Uşak) reached its artistic zenith in the 17th century, defined by a structured grid of bold, eight-pointed stars alternating with secondary diamond motifs. In the traditional design vocabulary of Anatolia, this layout represents balance and cosmic order, detailed internally with stylized palm leaves and classical Rumi contours.
These geometric star compositions quickly became a global language of prestige. Captured on canvas by Renaissance painters, they were sought after by European nobility to anchor the floors, tables, and walls of grand estates. Today, we bring this established heritage back. Not as a museum piece. As functional art for your floor.
This rug carries the Geographical Indication (GI) certificate – a state-protected guarantee that it was woven in Uşak using traditional methods passed down through generations.
